we are still on vacation in hawaii and my sister gina came from vegas to stay with us for a few days last week. i'm sad that she's already back home, but while she was here, we had a lot of fun! we took a day trip to north shore and made a few stops along the way. we went to matsumoto's which is famous for their shave ice. it was really the best shave ice we had here and we've been eating a lot of shave ice :)
we also stopped by a few beaches including the bonzai pipeline, waimea bay and sunset beach. we didn't see any 20 feet waves, but we still saw some great surfing. attie loved the wind in her face and the waves as they crashed onto the beach in front of her.
along the drive up to the north shore we were in search of some huli huli chicken, but we didn't see anyone roasting any chicken. so instead we got lunch from a shrimp truck on the side of the road which anselm thinks is the best meal he's had since we've been in hawaii
we visited the Polynesian Cultural Center and saw some fun little shows.
we also took attie to the beach near diamond head and she had a great time! i'll post some pictures of attie later...

too bad i didn't have enough time for zippy's. that just means I'll have to return soon to also get more mac salad from Yama's. thanks for a memorable trip. tell Anselm that matsumoto's shave ice rocks and the garlic shrimps were the best!
