this is going to be attie's first christmas, and i think i am way more excited about it than she is. i'm pretty sure she has no idea who santa is and what all the fuss is about, but hopefully she'll appreciate all the silly pictures we're taking of her later when she grows up. since we are going to be out of town for most of december, i am trying to rush to get her to some of the cool christmas events around orange county before we leave for hawaii this friday... we won't be back until after the 25th, and it's just not the same to visit santa if christmas is already over.
last week, we took her to ride the Santa Train at the Irvine Regional Park in Orange. They decorated the whole place for the holidays with lights and it really looked like santa's village.
We also met Mrs. Claus while standing in line to take pictures with Santa.
over the weekend, we even set up a christmas tree even though we are only going to be home for a couple more days. we can't let attie's first christmas be treeless!
i got her a new piggy ornament this year... you can see i got her one last year too even though she wasn't born yet :)
today i took her to the irvine spectrum to take pictures with santa again, this time in her holiday best, but she was not having a good day and this was the best picture they could get. she still looks a little teary eyed, but all the other pictures came out worse... she was crying and reaching her arms out for me to pick her up.

how cute! i am sure attie will appreciate it later when she is older. i can't believe you are leaving on friday! i won't see you until after x-mas? call me when you get back!
