congratulations to andrew & thuy who got married this past weekend! i'm so happy to have gained a new sister-in-law. i attended their wedding in new iberia, louisiana which is about 2 1/2 hours west of new orleans. it was a weekend long event filled with lots of neat traditions and good food. the traditional cambodian wedding took place on friday night and saturday morning. then on saturday afternoon, there was a church wedding followed by a reception with approximately 300 people in attendance! the bride's family hired a famous cambodian singer and flew her out from san jose, california. they also hired a band from dallas and flew them out to the wedding reception in new iberia as well! it was an exciting weekend... here are some more pictures of the beautiful bride and groom in traditional cambodian outfits.
