in vegas again

attie and i are in vegas for my sister's graduation this weekend. anselm is in vancouver for the week attending a wedding, also taking place this weekend. even though we have already been here for 2 days, attie is not used to sleeping without her crib. we have a pack-n-play but she refuses to sleep in it, so she is sleeping on the bed with me for the trip. for her naps at home, i put her in her crib she usually falls asleep by herself within 10 minutes. for the past 2 days, i had to pretend to take a nap with her on the bed so she would fall asleep, and then i would get up after she falls asleep. well, i put her down about 1 hour ago, and she just played and played around on the bed, refusing to stay still and fall asleep. i finally had to just leave her by herself and let her sleep... she cried and cried and cried ! it was like sleep training all over again. i had to let her cry-it-out otherwise she would never get used to sleeping by herself here. i waste so much time trying to put her down to sleep by laying down next to her.. she cried for about 30 minutes and finally passed out probably due to exhaustion from throwing such a big fit! good thing i brought my video monitor so i was able to watch her roll around the entire time. i'm surprised she didn't just climb off the bed and try to open the door.

anyway, other than the sleep issues, it is super hot here, like maybe 90 degrees?? gina is all done with her finals, so we can hang out for the rest of the week. unfortunately, i have a ton of homework to do myself, and i have been working non-stop since i got here. it's funny how i quit my job to have more time to study and take care of attie, but somehow i took on like 3 other jobs. i'll try and post some pictures here of our trip here this week. i have some pictures they're all stuck on my iphone... i'll have to figure out how to get them off and upload them here... stay tuned.
