We wanted take Attie to ride the Orange County Great Park Balloon for awhile and we finally made it out there last week. The hot air balloon is actually tethered to the ground so visitors only get to go straight up for a few minutes to enjoy the view, then it comes right back down. It's free to ride it so if you have time, you should check it out. We registered at the visitor's center for our ride and they gave us a pager while we waited. You can check out a frisbee or ball and play in the multiple grass fields at the park. Anselm got a soccer ball to kick around with Attie.
About 20 minutes later, the pager went off, and we went to collect our tickets for the ride up.
Attie had fun watching the balloon go up and down while we waited.

Here are some pictures of the view from the top. The first is of Quaill Hill, where we live, and the second is looking back down towards the OC Great Park.
It only stays up for about 5 minutes, then it comes back down for the next batch of guests. Here is Attie again with the balloon, we are all done and back down on the ground!
