over the weekend, we took attie to the san diego zoo. we actually went down to san diego to visit my brother-in-law. he is a doctor in the military and is getting deployed to afghanistan very soon... please keep him in your prayers for a safe trip and safe return.
so we decided to go to the zoo because we thought attie would enjoy it, however it was probably not the best day to go since anselm twisted his ankle last week playing softball and hasn't been able to put any weight on his left foot since then. he couldn't walk around the zoo on his own, so we rented a wheelchair for him, and i had to push him around the entire time!! (i think it's time for him to go on a diet and lose some weight!)

on top of that, the weather wasn't the best.. it got really chilly and even sprinkled a little while we were there. we also didn't get into the zoo until around 4 pm... and finally, i lost my purse sometime during the day, so that was a big scare. luckily, an employee found it and returned it with everything in it - all my cash, my iphone, everything. i was SO lucky. i guess we managed to still make a nice trip out of it.
