done with the quarter!

oh happy day... i'm finally done with finals for the quarter. what an odd feeling not to have homework to do, anything to read, or a test to study for. what to do now? i guess i can go download the 10,000 pictures i have trapped on my two cameras, catch up on a bunch of posts that are long overdue, and enjoy my break :)

quick update about attie - we have been teaching her baby sign language for the past few months, and she is picking it up amazingly fast! she LOVES to watch the videos and she gets really excited when i start singing the theme song. this is the DVD series that we are letting her watch, and so far, i think she knows about 20-30 signs! here are some of the signs she knows:

Eat - Drink - Cracker - Water - Milk - Banana - All Done - Dad - More - Bird - Fish - Cat - Dog - Shoes - Socks - Hat - Please - Thank You - Sorry - Car - Train - Bus - Ball - Bear - Wash Your Hands - Sleep - Bath - Brush Teeth - Book - Hot

i really recommend this to anyone who is thinking about teaching their babies sign language. it's fun and it helps promote communication between you and your baby. it also reduces babies' frustration because she is able to let you know what she wants through signing even though she is not able to express it verbally yet. i'll try to post some pictures or videos of attie signing some stuff...
