yesterday, i took attie to the doctor for her 9-month well baby appointment. here is how she measured - 18.5 lbs (30th percentile for weight) and a little over 28 inches long (80% for height). the pediatrician said attie is doing really well, hitting all her milestones either on time or a little early, crawling, pulling herself up, and now standing on her own. she also noticed that attie was pointing with one finger which she said was a 12-month milestone. anyway, poor attie cried super loud when she got some more vaccines - 2 shots in her thigh and a prick in her toe for some test... but she was all better by the time we got home.whenever attie does something new or cute, i always think, i'm going to blog about that! but whenever i'm actually blogging, i can never remember anything! my brain is definitely not as good as it used to be. so what have we been up to... let's see - gina was here visiting last weekend and we had a lot of fun passing out candy and taking attie trick-or-treating. of course we didn't get ANY homework done like we're supposed to.
i have been trying to teach attie some new "tricks" like waving bye-bye, clapping her hands, and giving high-fives to people. my favorite one is the head butt where she bangs her head against yours and she sometimes keeps her head there and pushes you for a few seconds. she does this a lot when we are napping together and she wakes up before i do. she comes over and head butts me repeatedly until i wake up to play with her. it's so cute. she is becoming her own little self more and more everyday.
