just another day: 6 month update - no more work for me!

it's been a long time since my last post - i feel like it's time for an update! as many of you may know, i quit my job recently to spend more time with attie, and also to concentrate on finishing my MBA. ever since i stopped working i have actually been busier than ever! i have been making up for lost time - catching up on all my missed lunch dates, procrastinated house chores, and postponed side projects. i even had time to go to Vegas! it was mainly for Susie's bachelorette party, but i got to stay a few extra days with my sister.

for those of you who read my blog, i feel like you come to see how attie is doing, so here is a quick update on her... she is now almost 7 months old, weighs about 15 1/2 lbs and is 26 inches tall. apparently, that puts her in the 30th percentile for weight, and the 75th percentile for height, so i guess she is skinny and tall, not a bad combo i think :)

i started her on solid foods about a month ago, and she is currently eating rice cereal 2 times a day and a veggie or fruit in the afternoon. she is a pretty good eater and eats almost everything except today, i gave her some peaches and she didn't like that too much. maybe because it was sour? who knows.. i love seeing her reactions to the new foods... actually, i love it in general when her personality comes out, such as when she gets excited and starts to kick her legs when she sees something she likes (usually her bottle) or when she "complains" when you take too long to go to her if she is crying (aye aye aye).

attie is currently teething and has 2 little bottom teeth coming in which you can see when she smiles really big
she can sit up and play by herself really well and can even push herself up from laying on her belly to a sitting position.
she is actually getting ready to crawl soon - she can balance on all fours and wobble back and forth and shuffle forward a few inches, then boom - faceplant :)
she can hold her own bottle up actually holds on really tight when you try to take it away from her!
