last week, my brother-in-law and his wife graduated from their medical residencies and we attended their graduation at the naval medical center down in san diego. they were both residents in the internal medicine department, in fact i think that's how they met a few years ago! we are very happy for their accomplishments over the years - a lot of hard work and long hours i'm pretty sure they are happy to be done with!
we were pleasantly surprised to find out that andrew received an award that day - for his Excellence in Clinical Teaching. way to go andrew!
congratulations to the both them. we wish them the best of luck in the next step of their careers. hopefully we'll get to see them more often now with no more calls - yay! :)
here's attie with her daddy, happy as can be. she was good for most of the graduation ceremony since grandma walked her around the hospital grounds to keep her out of the sun and also to keep her preoccupied. we spent the rest of the day down in san diego just hanging out at their house.
